Rev. Jim Haffecke
Pastor
Pastor Jim Haffecke came to First Baptist Huntsville on November 19, 2024 and is serving as senior pastor. He and his wife, Donna, are natives of Missouri and co-laborers in serving the Lord together. Jim accepted Christ when he was 25 years old and has a desire to help churches in discipleship, evangelism, service and missions. He has been a minister of the Gospel for 35 years and has a passion for reaching the lost. He is a humble and gifted speaker and servant of the Lord whose ultimate desire is to serve the Lord and do God’s will. Jim loves the Word of God and God’s people. He is a personable pastor that you can talk with about anything in life.
Jim and Donna have been married for 38 years, and have two children and five grandchildren. He and his wife love to fish, hike, and camp together. In his limited spare time, he likes woodworking and carpentry projects.
His favorite verse in the Bible is 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Zac Prather
Secretary
Zac Prather came to First Baptist Huntsville on February 5th, 2024 and is serving as the secretary. Zac has worked in a few different style of jobs in his life. From fast food to childcare, to leading music for churches, to working in church office's. Zac currently also serves in two rolls in the Crossroads Baptist Association. Zac worked as a ministry assistant (secretarially focused) at the Bethel Baptist Association while in college at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Zac served as a Summer Missionary for Laura Hunt, CBA Secretary, during the summer of 2023. Zac moved back to the Moberly area in the fall of 2023. After working full time in childcare, Zac felt the need to serve a church or association again in the office aspect. Zac prayed about it and then a few months later and email was sent out to the CBA office that FBC Huntsville was looking to hire a secretary. Zac immediately applied for the position and visited with the pastor that day. Zac was the worship leader at Immanuel Baptist Church in Moberly during that time and was able to talk to the previous secretary, Juvy DeShon, about the job.
It is such a blessing getting to help further the Kingdom of God here at FBC Huntsville!
